If Not For Me Team Up with Wind Walkers for New Single "Lie Awake"

Continuing the rollout for their forthcoming album, Pennsylvania's metalcore outfit If Not For Me have unveiled their newest single, "Lie Awake" featuring Wind Walkers, out Friday, July 17 via Thriller Records. The accompanying music video premieres the night before at 8 PM ET ahead of the song's release at midnight. 

Speaking on the release, vocalist Patrick Glover shares, “'Lie Awake' to me is almost like a spiritual successor to 'Feel Me Now' that takes the story a little deeper. I just love the dynamic of a toxic love that feels good on the surface, but you both know you’re only hurting each other in the end. I think what landed so hard with people in 'Feel Me Now' is the descriptive imagery, so I wanted to play really heavily with that lustful desire in the chorus with lines like ‘feel my hands running down your face’ and ‘did you forget how I made you shake, how I taste’ but then totally contrast it in the back half with ‘does it hurt when you scream my name,’ ‘I’m your pain,’ etc. It just feels like such a relatable story that we’ve all had to go through at one point or another and may even still keep us up at night.”
